Biography


Katherine Bacu grew up in the small town of Felton in Southern Delaware. She currently resides there and graduated in 2021 with her BFA and Minor in Art History from University of Delaware. She has always enjoyed a craft and currently works at the Delaware Public Archives as an Archivist. She enjoys historical art and the impressionist movement due to the beautification of rural landscapes that remind her of home. Her art utilizes bright colors and abstract forms to modernize these landscapes to create an optimistic view of everyday things. She has had her work in multiple exhibitions at University of Delaware and the National Arts Program Exhibitions. She is actively working on expanding her collections by painting, crafting, and focusing on enjoying the small joys of life.
